FAQs

I only have a small audience, does this work for me?

Oh yes! This is one of the biggest advantages of the DM outreach strategy. You can start from day 1 on social media and get in touch with your ideal client right away.

Building an audience takes time and effort until you'll see some results. Having said that, lots of very big accounts still struggle with inconsistent sales if they rely on inbound marketing via their content only. You can get ahead of them - and from the outside it's not even visible because they can't see your successful DM campaigns.

I have a very big twitter account, does this work for me?

Absolutely! You have the advantage of a huge following and buzz on your account. So you can send warm welcome messages to your followers to get in touch with them and giveaways will work well for you too right away.

On top of that, cold outreach DM campaigns will further widen your circle of being seen and getting in touch with your ideal client.

How can I increase the DM opening rate?

By asking the prospect an intriguing question about themselves and not opening with a hard sell (="buy my stuff").

At this early point in the conversation, you want to find out if they're actually a good fit for what you have to offer. So be genuinely interested in their situation and ask questions that they feel inclined to answer. It's about building trust and having a friendly conversation first.

Here's an in depth blog post on how to make sure your outreach campaigns bring the results you want.

How can I increase the DM reply rate?

Make your prospects feel heard. Ask them about their situation in a kind and genuine way. Let them talk and listen to figure out if they're a) a good fit for your offer and b) so that they reveal their struggles.

You can restate what they told you back to them so that they feel heard. Resist the need to educate them, because the people who implement your advice won't need your help anymore and the ones who ignore it don't have trust in what you told them. Neither will buy.

Check out this in depth blog post to get the idea behind the psychology of cold outreach campaigns.

How can I increase the booking a call rate?

Bring the conversation to a point where you make clear that only a call will make sure you can move on.

For instance, to discuss more details of your offer (if they asked you for it) or to discuss the details of the potential client's situation. Or to figure out if you are a good fit on a personal level.

How can I increase the show-up rate?

The show-up rate largely depends on the quality of your leads. So by applying filters before you even send a DM to them, you'll make sure you're talking to your target audience. If the leads are poor, you're wasting your time in the DMs, waiting for them to show up or in the call.

And of course, make sure they get reminders of the meeting via different channels (email, DMs) so that they don't forget. Because people who are quality leads can also be very busy.

Here's an in depth blog post with a tactic that most people overlook to increase the quality of their leads drastically.

How can I increase the close rate?

Several things influence your close rate: having leads who can afford your offer, making sure your offer is a good fit for them and can actually solve their problem. And of course the way you show up in your call so that they feel well taken care of and understood.

You can filter out quality leads early on by applying suitable filters for lead scraping and also ask them questions before they are even able to book the call. Here's an in depth blog post on where to find quality leads.

Having a script in place for the call itself helps too to make sure you stay on track with how a sales call is done. Because if you don't use a script, you'll fall back to your own personal defaults, which are often the opposite of what's needed in a sales call (e.g. educating them vs. simply restating what they said so that they can realize themselves that they need your offer).

How can I increase the DM to clicking link rate?

Your message should invite them to click the link by making them curious. Use the open loop technique to create a strong pull towards checking out the landing page. You can even tell a short success story of how someone similar to them got amazing results by using your product.

How can I increase the buy conversion rate?

If people buy or not when they're on your landing page depends on many factors:

  • the quality of the leads you send there (use approriate filters)
  • if they can afford it
  • if the product solves a deep pain point
  • if the awareness level of your prospect matches the language of the landing page
  • if the landing page loads fast
  • if the communication on the page is clear and not confusing

In any case, make sure to measure how far people scroll down your landing page and also with which elements they interact. You'll see patterns that tell you where you can improve things.

I wrote an in depth article about the topic here. Make sure to check out the comments if you're using matomo. There's a link on how I track elements easily.

Are the default conversion rates realistic?

I asked chatGPT and it came up with them based on statistics it found. Having said that, it also mentioned that conversion rates can differ greatly based on your industry, the quality of your leads and also on your own ability to make the sale.

Being able to makes sales in the DMs and/or in calls is a learnable skill and basically a numbers game. It requires experience and some basic tactics. If you're new to it, I'd recommend doing A/B testing, comparing opening and conversion rates and then fine tune the messaging. The more you practice, the better you'll get.

This is one reason why automating most of the process is so valuable, because then you can invest your time into fine tuning the message, practicing sales calls and making sure your offer is on point.

I want to send the calendly link right away, how can I adjust the calculator?

In this case, you don't have a reply rate. So you can simply set it to 100%.

I need to send more than 500 DMs/day

Twitter allows only 500 DMs/day per account. So if you want to send more than that, you need additional accounts. You can set up proxies (I'd recommend residential ones) and then let LeadzFindr run for these accounts too.

The LeadzFindr license is independent of the twitter accounts you use,
